Turning Periods Into Pathways

All over the world, women and girls share a common bond: our monthly periods.

This natural process creates different challenges for each of us, depending on our individual bodies, income, geography, education level, and culture. At our recent Menstrual Hygiene Day presentation in Seattle, we confirmed that when it comes to addressing global health and education issues related to menstruation, communities share a common obstacle: stigma.

That's why the Days for Girls movement is about so much more than washable pads. By using beautiful fabrics, by cultivating local leadership, and by pairing our DfG Kit distributions with health education, we are turning periods into pathways. Together, we're creating a world with dignity, health, and opportunity for all.

We're thrilled to share our new video and mission statement, Turning Periods Into Pathways, with you — our amazing supporters — exemplifying the power of the work we are doing together.

Through our growing movement, girls are finding a way to balance honoring tradition and taking back their days to attend school. And by sharing their stories and inspiring others, we are getting even closer to reaching Every Girl. Everywhere. Period.
