Period Positive Schools Program
Education is foundational to opportunity, gender equality, and dignity. This program fosters supportive, stigma-free environments where students can navigate menstruation at school with confidence, knowledge, and access to the support they need, so they can stay engaged in their education, participate fully, and thrive.

Why It Matters
For millions of students around the world, periods are a barrier to confidence, school participation, attendance, and educational opportunity.
In Nepal, approximately 63% of girls miss school during their period. In Ghana, 9 out of 10 girls are absent from school during menstruation. In Cambodia, 74% of students feel that menstruating girls should not go to school.
Our Approach
Through an integrated approach that combines health education, menstrual products, and school and community engagement, this program creates school environments where students feel informed, supported, and can reach their full potential.
