Important Announcement: Tiffany Larson Made Permanent CEO
The Days for Girls International Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Tiffany Larson has been appointed to be Days for Girls new CEO.
Tiffany is a six-year Days for Girls veteran who has held a variety of roles within the organization (including Interim CEO, Chief Operating Officer and International Chapters Director). With over two decades of business management, leadership, and non profit experience, she is uniquely qualified and prepared for this role. She has shown herself to be a strategic, results driven leader, committed to sustainable development best practices, supporting local leadership, and community led development solutions.
This expertise, paired with her collaborative spirit, unwavering dedication to the empowerment of girls, and her deep understanding of the menstrual health challenges women and girls face around the world makes her the ideal CEO to lead Days for Girls into the next phase of its growth.
“All of the indications tell us that Tiffany is the right person for this moment,” said Karen Harris, Board President of Days for Girls International. “We need someone who can lead Days for Girls into the future with as little disruption to our day-to-day operations as possible; a person who knows the ins and outs of the organization and the menstrual health and international development sector; a CEO who has the respect and trust of her colleagues. We are confident that Tiffany Larson is that person.”
About the announcement, Tiffany Larson stated, “I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to step into the position of Days for Girls CEO. I believe deeply in this organization’s mission and am committed to its future success. I'm ready for the job and so excited about what's ahead for Days for Girls as an organization. Under Celeste’s visionary leadership DfG has already reached over 2.5 million women and girls, and that work will continue.
What began as a small grassroots volunteer based movement in 2008 has now evolved into a thriving global organization with robust programming based on sustainable development solutions and best practices, with a special focus on local leadership and community led and data driven solutions. As we continue to move into the future, we will do so building on Days for Girls’ historical successes, while making appropriate shifts, as necessary, to strategically position Days for Girls as a leader in the global menstrual health space.
This work is only possible because of the collective efforts from our entire network of global stakeholders. I look forward to continuing to work alongside all of you as we move Days for Girls forward. The future is bright at Days for Girls!”
