William Osal

Uganda Country Manager

William Osal has 11 years’ experience working directly with civil society organizations in partnership with the government. He is passionate about human rights programming with a view of making a contribution to a protective environment for all. His skills include program coordination, management, facilitating training, networking/partnership development, planning, quality assurance, monitoring, evaluation, as well as organizational development/capacity strengthening. His areas of expertise include child rights protection, gender inclusion and social development.
Previously, he worked with Network for Active citizens as Programs and Partnership Advisor. Additionally, William held managerial positions as Program Manager at Youth Social Work Association, Community Development Resource Network, served at Child’s I Foundation as Senior practitioner, and at Private Education Development Network as a Project Coordinator.
William Studied Master of Arts in Human Rights from Uganda Martyrs University and a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social administration from Makerere University. He undertook further studies emphasizing Child protection, Monitoring and Evaluation, gender, human rights programming among others. He is a member of National Association of Social Workers in Uganda and also a member of the National Child Protection working group.
