Leyla Isin-Xiong

Chief Programs Officer

Leyla is a dedicated international development professional with a passion for gender equality, women’s health, and access to education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Australian National University and a master’s degree in International and Community Development from Deakin University.

Leyla has been part of Days for Girls since 2016, joining the staff team in 2019. She has served in several leadership roles, including Global Chapters Director, Global Education Director, and Global Programs Director, before becoming Chief Programs Officer in 2021. In her current role, Leyla oversees DfG’s global menstrual health programs.

Based in Luang Prabang, Laos, Leyla has led projects across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, supporting community-driven, sustainable solutions that empower women and girls. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Laos and learning the Hmong language.
