Kathryn Wallace

Director

Kathy was first introduced to Days for Girls in 2016, when she met with the Wagga Wagga Team Lead to collect 10 Kits to take on a trip to Cambodia, where she was involved in several community projects. During her visit, Kathy met with local leaders, introduced them to the work of Days for Girls and its education programs, and left sample Kits to support further engagement. Upon returning to Australia, Kathy joined the Wagga Wagga Team and soon became Co-Leader. With a background in business and accounting, she stepped into the role of Finance Officer, contributing her skills to grant writing and fundraising activities. In 2020, Kathy was appointed as the Papua New Guinea Liaison for Days for Girls Australia Limited, a role she held until June 2024, when it transitioned to Coordinator for the Oceania region.

Kathy began her professional career as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young and brings extensive experience in business management, human resources, and the not-for-profit sector. She is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, recognised for her strong
commitment to community service and positive social impact. Kathy is particularly committed to work which empowers women and girls and environmental projects which demonstrate care for our planet.
