Project G is a youth-led enterprise that empowers high school girls with menstrual health education and sustainable solutions throughout Cambodia.
They’re on a mission to break the cycle of period poverty amongst young people, and as a result, help more menstruating students stay in school and graduate on time. To do this, Project G focuses on a) shattering the stigma of menstruation by providing factual information that would otherwise be unavailable, and b) pairing education with the distribution of washable, long-lasting DfG pads.
Jessica Palti started Project G as a founding member of the Cambodia Students Rural Trust: an NGO that provides mentorship, life-skills and business-skills training to students in rural Cambodia through a variety of projects. She remains a key mentor to Project G leadership and project teams, with a special focus on women’s empowerment, community enrichment and marketing.
