Kakamega Enterprise was founded in 2016 by Jenipher Nyanga

Jenipher Nyanga started Kakamega Enterprise while working as a community health worker in 2016. A skilled garment-maker and designer, she was intrigued to learn about the need for sustainable menstrual products from a health clinic volunteer – who then trained her in the art of sewing washable pads. From there, Jenipher connected with Days for Girls and went on to launch a full-scale enterprise: serving women in need with pads, education and advocacy.
