DfG Language

Days for Girls (DfG) envisions a world where menstrual periods are never a problem. We work to eliminate the stigma and limitations associated with menstruation so that women and girls have better health, education, and livelihoods.

Our scalable solutions approach to menstrual health (MH) engages individuals, families, and communities – recognizing that local leaders are best positioned to drive lasting change. We train locally owned Social Enterprises that produce and sell washable menstrual pad Kits that are high quality, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable; deliver comprehensive, timely, and age-appropriate MH education; and conduct advocacy to local and national leaders to improve MH policies and programs.

By removing menstrual barriers, we open doors for women and girls to pursue opportunities and achieve their goals. To date, we have reached 3+ million women and girls in 145 countries on six continents.
