Donor Advised Funds

A donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Days for Girls. You can even designate where you would like your donation to go towards. DfG’s great needs to have maximum impact are general operations or our social enterprise program.

What is a donor-advised fund?

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a philanthropic vehicle established at a public charity like Fidelity or Schwab. It allows you to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax benefit, and then recommend giving from the fund over time.

An easy way to think about a DAF is like a charitable savings account: you contribute to the fund as frequently as you like and then recommend “grants” or donations to your favorite charity when you are ready. During your lifetime, you can recommend a “grant” or donation from your donor-advised fund to help Days for Girls International.

Please contact your DAF directly to initiate your recommendation by using this link.

Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a donation through the DAF Direct tool on this page.
