Amy joins Days for Girls UK with over 20 years’ experience in investment banking, compliance and risk management, and social enterprise leadership development. Her work has taken her around the world, including in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
She received a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Illinois and an M.A. in International Studies & Diplomacy from SOAS, University of London. Amy is an active member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association where, as the Awards Chair, she has helped establish the inaugural Diversity & Inclusion and Young Alumni awards programmes. She has also served as Governor and Vice Chair of her local primary school.
Amy is passionate about career change/networking as well as women’s development and advancement. She has joined Days for Girls because of her commitment to female empowerment and in the hope that she truly can make a difference to the lives of girls and young women. Though an American, Amy has now called the UK her home for over 25 years. She is happily married to an Englishman and is the very proud mother and stepmother to five fantastic children.
