Nancy’s journey with Days for Girls started in 2016 when she volunteered to take on the Team Leader role and started the Coonabarabran Team. In 2018 she became the State Sewing Specialist for NSW and in 2020 became the Australian Sewing Director. Nancy has over 30 years experiencing as teacher and headteacher at TAFE teaching Clothing Production, Patternmaking and Laundry. She has always enjoyed working with and educating women and personally saw the needs of many girls whilst delivering kits in Cambodia.
Nancy received a Statewide TAFE award for “Innovation and Outstanding Performance in Teaching in the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Sector” and she is also a recipient of the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow Award.
