Mary became the Australian Coordinator in May 2019, after Gloria Buttsworth stepped aside from the role. Mary has been involved with Days for Girls, since 2014 when she and Carolyn Walker started the Camberwell Chapter. Mary moved to the Marshall Islands in 2015 where she promoted Days for Girls at every opportunity. When she returned to country Victoria and discovered there was no team nearby, she started the Goulburn Valley Chapter. While living in India and the Marshall Island, she discovered the impact the taboo around menstruation has on women and girls and knew she had to do something.
Mary, has a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Marketing and Public Relations, she has also undertaken studies, in human resource management, management accounting and has recently completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
