In 2016 Brenda began the Bridgetown Team after retiring there with her husband. When Bridgetown Family and Community Centre was seeking another activity to include in their programs, a dynamic partnership was formed with the Team. In 2018, Brenda became WA Director. Brenda was a finalist in the 2016 Zonta Areas 3 Woman Achievement Award and a Harcourts Hero recipient for outstanding contribution to her community.
