Jackline was a Grade 6 student at Kapyangek Primary School when her very first period arrived unexpectedly during class. Over the past year, I helped champion the U.S. menstrual movement in a number of ways — like rallying to eliminate the tampon tax, educating my community about menstrual health, and advocating for more supportive state-led policies.
